Today I started cleaning my apartment and getting it in order for my subletter that will take it over in a couple of weeks. It amazes me how quickly dust accumulates in a place that I don't even spend that much time in. Where does it all come from?!?! In the process of purging old checkbooks, papers, and such, I stumbled across a whole bunch of old pictures that I've taken since I've been here in New York. Do people still take photos? The type that you need to get developed and are printed on paper? I am all for moving into the digital age, but I must confess I do like to hold a photograph in hand.
It was eye opening to flip through these stacks and look at how much my life has changed. 2007 marks my 10th Anniversary of moving to New York. The things that were important to me then don't hold so much weight now. Some friends that were so close to me when I moved here are no longer in my life. I tend to look at the bigger picture instead of focusing on the hear and now. They say a picture says a thousand words. I wonder what my current photos will reveal to me 10 years from now. One things for certain, it's always better when you smile.

It is called NYC, the dirtest damn place in the world. totally unbelievable (not a very good speller) but we got a new little grill for the our balcony and only two days of it being outside and it was covered in some totally disgusting funk. TWO FREAKIN DAYS! the wierdest is our bathroom gets covered in red dust. I am sure that is quit healthy. Clean the bathroom on a Saturday and by Thursday there is a strange red dust covering everywhere. LOVE IT!
can't wait to see the show. see you in Indy!
